Back to wall toilets are completely perpendicular against the wall through the back of the unit whereas closed coupled is quite similar but there is a part of the rear toilet that may not be against the wall. Functionality wise they are the same.

What is the difference between S-trap and P-trap toilets?

S-trap toilets have the waste outlet located at the bottom of the toilet exiting to the ground whereas p-trap toilets have their waste outlet located at the back of the toilet extended into a wall. Many toilets are S and P trap compatible. Please refer to the technical drawing or description.

What is the difference between top inlet and bottom inlet?

The inlet refers to the position where water enters the toilet cistern/water tank. Many models may be top and bottom inlet compatible.
