LUKKA WARRANTY

The applicable warranty period depends on the product category and whether the product is installed for residential or commercial use.

Residential warranty applies to the installation and use of products related to a place of residence, such as a house, unit, apartment, townhouse, villa, duplex or other form of housing.

Commercial warranty applies to the installation and use of products within non-residential premises, including hotels, motels, restaurants, schools, offices, hospitals and public amenities.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

 

WHAT IS COVERED:

  • Manufacturing defects that cause product failure.
  • Product failure where the product has been installed correctly and in accordance with the installation instructions.
  • Product failure where installation has been completed by a licensed tradesperson.
  • Valid product faults that occur under normal use and reasonable maintenance.
  • Approved replacement parts during the applicable warranty period.
  • Repair, parts replacement or product replacement where Lukka confirms a valid warranty claim.

Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Lukka may repair the product, provide replacement parts, or replace the product with the same or an appropriate replacement product, depending on the nature of the fault, product availability and the remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

WARRANTY WILL BE VOID IF:

  • The product is not installed by a licensed tradesperson.
  • The product is not installed correctly or not installed in accordance with the installation instructions.
  • The product is not installed in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZS 3500 or relevant state regulations.
  • Water supply pressure exceeds 500kPa and a suitable pressure-limiting valve has not been installed where required.
  • Damage occurs during or after installation.
  • A damaged or incorrect product is installed.
  • The product is modified using non-approved modifications or components.
  • The product is affected by unsuitable or improper use.
  • The product is affected by inadequate maintenance or lack of maintenance.
  • The product is damaged by harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, chemicals, electrochemical influences or electrical influences.
  • The product is damaged by excessive heat.
  • The product is affected by poor water supply, including dirt, sand, copper or plastic particles in the plumbing line.
  • Plumbing lines are not adequately flushed or prepared before use.
  • Seals or O-rings deteriorate due to cleaning agents, deodorisers or other products used inside cisterns.
  • Water damage, excessive moisture, condensation or leaks are not cleaned and dried immediately.
  • The product is sold off display.

 

EXCLUSIONS - WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Incorrect installation or installation not completed in accordance with the installation instructions.
  • Installation or partial installation by the purchaser or any person other than a licensed tradesperson.
  • Damage that occurs during or after installation.
  • Damage caused by installing a damaged or incorrect product.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Door and drawer adjustment.
  • Inadequate maintenance or lack of reasonable maintenance.
  • Unsuitable or improper use.
  • Harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, acidic cleaners, alkaline cleaners, ammonia-based cleaners, vinegar-based cleaners or glass cleaners used on unsuitable surfaces.
  • Damage caused by excessive heat.
  • Damage caused by poor water supply, dirty water lines, sand, copper, plastic particles or plumbing debris.
  • Damage caused by inadequate flushing or preparation of plumbing lines before use.
  • Water damage to cabinetry, vanities, mirrors or painted surfaces.
  • Bubbling, blistering or peeling caused by excessive moisture or water exposure.
  • Damage caused by condensation, spills, leaks, steam or moisture not being wiped dry immediately.
  • Damage caused by water temperatures exceeding 65°C on acrylic, ceramic, solid surface, natural marble, sintered or silica free tops.
  • Cracking or damage to granite or fireclay sinks caused by thermal shock, including placing hot pots directly on the sink.
  • Mirror backing corrosion, brown marks, black spotting, smears or streaks caused by unsuitable cleaning products or excessive moisture.
  • Natural variations in tone, veins, grain patterns, knots or appearance in Calacatta, Carrara stone or wood grain products.
  • Claims made after installation for visible variations, damage or incorrect products.
  • Consequential damage, indirect loss or damage to property, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • The cost of installation or removal of any unit.
  • Replacement products that are required to match the original installation exactly, where the original item is no longer available or not in stock.

A warranty claim may be declined to the extent that the fault or damage was caused by any of the above circumstances.

 

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:

To maintain warranty coverage, products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the installation instructions. Installation must be completed by a licensed tradesperson. Products must also be installed in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZS 3500 and any relevant state regulations.

Before installation, the customer or installer should confirm:

  • The product received is correct and undamaged.
  • Product dimensions and clearances are suitable.
  • Plumbing set-out and drainage are compatible.
  • Water pressure is suitable and does not exceed 500kPa at any outlet within the building.
  • A pressure-limiting valve is installed where required.
  • Plumbing lines have been flushed and prepared before use.
  • Water leakage testing has been completed after plumbing works are finished.
  • Ventilation is suitable for vanities, mirrors and bathroom furniture.

Please report any visible product issues, damage or incorrect items within 48 hours of receiving the product. Claims for damage or wrong products may not be recognised after installation.

Proof of installation may be required when making a warranty claim.

 

CARE AND MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bathroom furniture must be kept dry and wiped immediately after condensation, spills, water leaks, steam or moisture exposure.
  • Lukka moisture-resistant wood materials are not waterproof.
  • PVC board is waterproof, however paint may bubble, blister or peel when exposed to excessive moisture or water.
  • Bathrooms should be well ventilated to reduce condensation and excessive moisture.
  • Mirrors should be cleaned with a soft microfibre or lint-free cloth.
  • Alkaline, ammonia, acidic, vinegar-based and unsuitable glass cleaning products should not be used on mirrors, as they may damage the mirror backing.
  • Acrylic, ceramic, solid surface, natural marble, sintered and silica free tops must not be exposed to water temperatures above 65°C.
  • Hot pots should not be placed directly onto granite or fireclay sinks, as thermal shock may cause cracks or weaken the material.

 

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM:

When making a claim, please keep the following information available:

  1. Proof of purchase, such as a copy of receipt.
  2. Certificate of occupancy for new homes, where applicable.
  3. Installation receipt from a licensed installer.
  4. Photographs or videos of the product and the issue.
  5. Photos showing installation and access, where requested.
  6. Any other reasonable information required to assess the claim.

 

ASSESSMENT AND SUPPORT PROCESS:

  1. Initial assessment: Lukka may request proof of purchase, installation records, photos, videos or other information to assess the issue.
  2. Inspection: Where required, Lukka may arrange assessment by an authorised representative or authorised service technician.
  3. Service access: Sufficient access must be provided to products, fittings and fixtures to allow warranty repairs or assessment to be completed.
  4. Parts only support: Lukka may provide minor components as parts only during any part of the warranty period.
  5. Resolution: If the claim is accepted, Lukka may provide repair, replacement parts or product replacement in accordance with this warranty and the Australian Consumer Law.

 

EXPENSES, SERVICE CALLS AND ACCESS:

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable information required to assess a claim, including proof of purchase, installation records, photos and videos.

If a warranty claim is assessed by an authorised service technician and the cause of the issue falls within the warranty exclusions, a service call-out fee may apply. Lukka reserves the right to charge a call-out fee, labour charge and any applicable parts where the issue is not covered by warranty.

Lukka will not be responsible for consequential damage or costs where sufficient access to products, fittings or fixtures is not provided. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lukka will not be liable for the cost of installation or removal of any unit.

Replacement products are limited to what is in stock at the time and are not guaranteed to match the original installation exactly.

 

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW NOTICE:

This warranty is provided in addition to the rights and remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
