The warranty period commences from the date of purchase or, for new buildings, the date of handover. Finish warranties cover manufacturing finish defects only.
What's not covered under Warranty
- Products damaged during shipping, delivery or installation
- Installation not in accordance with Abey's installation instructions or relevant national standards and state regulations
- Basins, baths, showers, tapware and toilets installed by a person other than a licensed plumber; sinks installed by a person other than a licensed plumber, cabinet maker or stonemason
- Tapware and showers exposed to water pressure or temperature exceeding the stated limits (500kPa maximum), or installed without a flow regulator / regulated check valve
- Blocked or dirty aerators, valves or outlets due to irregular cleaning, or tapware fitted with other devices to the outlet (e.g. water filters)
- Scratching, denting, rusting, spotting, discolouration, dulling, chipping or other general surface deterioration; living finishes will wear and patina over time
- Damage from abrasive pads or cleaners, steel wool, wire brushes, bleaches, solvents, adhesives, sealants or other chemical products
- Fair wear and tear or damage due to normal use or aging of the product
- Products modified or altered without Abey's written approval, used for incorrect applications, or damaged by third-party components
- Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance or external causes
- Ex-display products, seconds and floor stock
- Transferred ownership – the warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferrable
